Building Goal Grants

14 awards in 2007-08/ $23,603 granted - Each school in the Shoreline School District, can apply & receive a Building Goal Grant, which is calculated by student population at a per pupil rate. Since 1999, we have disbursed $200,078.

Classroom Grants

Community Wide Grants

5 awards in 2007-08/ $4,250 granted - Community and school programs benefit from these perpetual grants, which are Math Olympiad, History Day, 5,000 Days Project, SL-LFP Arts Council “Shoreline Showcase” and the Shoreline Senior Center’s “Power of One” program. 

As of 2003, we have funded 28 grants totaling $22,500.

Opportunity Grants

15 awards in 2007 -08/$7,600 granted - Each school in the Shoreline School District receives either $400, $600 or $1,000.  Since 1993, $80,760 has helped students in need with school supplies, class fees & field trips.

Secondary Enrichment Scholarships

As of 1998, 248 awards totaling $47,410 have been granted to students from Shoreline middle and high schools to attend summer programs in music, fine arts, design, journalism, business and leadership

Summer School Scholarship Funding

$20,000 in 2007 - 53 students in 6th-8th grade attended the district's Summer Reading Academy. $2,000 in 2007 - 31 students received assistance with credit recovery

As of 1992, we have provided 16,664 scholarships totaling $417,507. 

 $40,000 granted in 2006. A total of 110 students scholarships were granted.
$40,000 granted in 2005. A total of 128 student scholarships were granted. Funds also were used to reduce fees to increase enrollment of secondary students.
$40,888 granted in 2004. A total of 132 students were able to attend academic summer school via the Shoreline Foundation’s block grant for scholarships, distributed by the Shoreline School District.
